The Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) by World Trade Centre Toronto empowers SMEs for strategic international growth. With top export advisors, tailored coaching and essential resources, it equips businesses to scale successfully.
This program, hosted in partnership with the Black Entrepreneurship Alliance is designed for leaders, CEOs, owners and c-suite executives of Ontario-based companies in the tech sector. In six weeks, through virtual and in-person hands-on workshops and mentoring sessions, seasoned professionals help participants develop an effective export plan.
Led by industry experts and thought leaders, this session will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Market Insights: Opportunities, Challenges & Risks
- International Marketing & Sales
- International Financial Management
- Funding Programs & Grants for Exporting
- Global Legal Considerations & Tax Policies
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
TAP is open to companies that are:
- Self-identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of colour)
- Currently exporting products, services, or technologies and is looking to diversify into new international markets or is in the early stages of exploring global expansion
- Generating at least $500,000 in annual revenue or have successfully raised $500,000 or more in capital
- Must be headquartered in Ontario, have been operating for a minimum of two years, and be registered as a legal entity in Canada
- Offering a strong value proposition
- Ready to scale
For this cohort, WTC-T is focused on companies that develop or utilize innovative technologies as a core part of their business. This includes, but isn’t limited to, software developers, AI and machine learning firms, fintech companies, e-commerce platforms, cybersecurity providers, health tech startups, and companies offering digital solutions or platforms.
