Committee Objectives

The Transportation & Infrastructure Committee works to ensure the systems that move people and goods across the Toronto region keep pace with its growth and economic activity. The committee advocates for coordinated infrastructure planning and investments that improve mobility, alleviates congestion, and supports a more connected regional economy.

How we’ll get there:

  • Advance solutions that reduce congestion and promote multi-modal mobility to keep people and goods moving across the region.
  • Accelerate infrastructure delivery while supporting controls to ensure projects stay on time and on budget.
  • Further system-level integration, by aligning transportation planning, investment, and governance across municipalities to create a cohesive and connected network.
  • Advocate for targeted investments in goods movement corridors, intermodal hubs, and last-mile infrastructure to improve regional freight and logistics efficiency and strengthen supply chain resilience.
  • Promote policy alignment among all orders of government to accelerate infrastructure delivery and a better-connected regional economy.
