Committee Objectives
The Housing & Land Use Committee focuses on the policies and planning decisions that shape where people live and where businesses grow. Members guide the Board’s efforts to expand the supply of attainable housing while safeguarding the industrial lands needed for business investment, job creation, and long-term regional productivity.
How we’ll get there:
- Enable solutions to expand the supply of diverse housing types, supported by modernized regulations and innovative delivery models that accelerate housing production.
- Advance policy and regulatory changes that accelerate the use of productivity enhancing technologies like robotics, modular construction, and prefabrication to build housing faster and more affordably.
- Advocating for a coordinated regional employment lands strategy that protects and optimizes critical industrial lands and provides long-term certainty for employers—supporting business investment, expansion, and a resilient regional economy.
