Committee Objectives

The AI & Innovation Economy Committee focuses on strengthening the region’s capacity to develop, adopt, and scale AI and new technologies. Members guide the Board’s efforts to support the commercialization of emerging innovation, accelerate technology adoption, and ensure the region’s businesses remain at the forefront of technological change.

How We'll Get There

  • Championing accelerated tech and AI adoption, and removing barriers that limit business competitiveness to attract global investment and increase regional productivity.
  • Supporting development of a regional innovation ecosystem framework to identify key industrial components supporting innovation commercialization.
  • Advocating for federal and provincial governments to harmonize a policy framework for data governance.
