Committee Objectives

The Energy, Mining, and Resources Committee brings together industry leaders to help shape policies that align energy and resource priorities with economic opportunity across the region. By driving investment, infrastructure development, and responsible resource growth, the committee helps position Ontario and Canada as leaders in the global energy transition, and an emerging energy superpower.

How We'll Get There

  • Advance the energy transition by identifying the conditions and strategies needed to support decarbonization, electrification, critical mineral development, and cleantech adoption.
  • Advocate for competitive capital mobilization strategies that address incentive imbalances and ensure investments in energy generation, transmission, and distribution keep pace with economic growth while maintaining affordability, security, and reliability.
  • Champion stable energy and resources policies that align with business needs and streamline permitting and regulatory processes to reduce project costs and provide timeline certainty.
  • Develop workforce strategies that supply the skilled talent required for energy infrastructure development and the energy transition.
  • Promote secure and resilient supply chains through stronger regional integration in critical minerals, clean energy technologies, and high-value added products.
