GDP Ontario | Aerospace Cohort (October 3, 2023)

ABOUT THE COHORT

This cohort is exclusively designed for aerospace pioneers in Ontario. Tailored for CEOs and founders of high-growth aerospace SMEs, the program serves as their key to unlocking new opportunities and overcoming industry challenges.

It equips them with tools, skills, strategies and a network of like-minded trailblazers who share their passion for innovation.

Over six months, participants will access expert-led modules, peer insights and a personalized growth plan to tackle complex issues, maximize leadership potential, and achieve remarkable growth.

Thanks to the support of the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), this edition of the program is offered as part of the Government of Canada's Aerospace Regional Recovery Initiative (ARRI).

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The program has been carefully structured into three distinctive phases, each focused on key topics critical for your business's success, including:

Phase 1: Nurturing a Continuous Learning Mindset

In this initial stage, we build your growth foundation, fostering adaptability and openness to new ideas. Engage in peer discussions and case studies to overcome growth barriers.

Phase 2: Mastering Leadership for Growth

In Phase 2, you'll hone leadership skills through expert-led workshops, success stories and interactive sessions. Learn to lead confidently, align your team with your vision and prioritize strategic leadership.

Phase 3: Growing Your Team and Organization

In the final phase, discover talent management strategies, build a high-performance culture and network with leaders for valuable insights and expertise.

We participated because we want to scale globally. And for us, we want to target Europe and also India, so this was a great opportunity to have all that structured. Build systems. That is definitely the thing.

I think I gotta get it tattooed on my arm or something like that.

"Build systems". I have to systemized the business. I've noticed holes in that way, so that's definitely something that we have to improve on, and that's something that it's been embedded in my head now.

On a macro level, I would say that the ecosystem being part of this program is essential, 'cause there's a certain community that we have around us.

But also specifically the speakers, the community, the fellow founders we have is also essential to our growth and we'll have these connections for years to come, hopefully.

And on top of that, of course, we also have the structure now in the system.

So not just the systems, but also the understanding of how to take something from 5 million to 50 million to 100 million.

And that has been invaluable.
