A Year of Celebration: The Toronto Region Board of Trade's Remarkable Journey at 100 Queens Quay E

The Quay, on its opening night gala.

One year ago, the Toronto Region Board of Trade embarked on an exciting new chapter in its storied history. After 47 years at First Canadian Place, the Board moved into its new waterfront headquarters and officially unveiled “The Quay”, its state-of-the-art event space at 100 Queens Quay East. This stunning multi-purpose venue, a LEED Platinum-certified facility, has helped the Board to reimagine the event experience for members, stakeholders, and guests from across the region.

To mark the occasion, the Board hosted two grand opening events on November 8th and 9th of 2022, attracting over 800 attendees from across the region. The guest list included prominent figures like Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs Melanie Joly, Yung Wu of MaRS Discovery District, Peter Menkes of Menkes Developments Ltd., and Andrew Oliver of Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality.

Our 38,000 square foot space, brought to life by Menkes Developments Ltd. and designed by SGH Design Partners, is a marvel in its own right. It boasts a spacious gala room capable of hosting up to 400 guests, four expansive meeting rooms, two boardrooms, breakout spaces, a sprawling 22,000 square foot outdoor terrace, and a cutting-edge digital studio. Nestled just a stone's throw away from Union Station and Toronto's bustling Financial District, The Quay offers unparalleled convenience for event-goers.

But this space isn't just for the Board; it's also open to the public and Toronto’s entire business community. Whether you're planning corporate events, conferences, galas, meetings, or private events like weddings, this waterfront gem provides a breathtaking backdrop for every occasion. The Board's enduring partnership with Oliver & Bonacini Events ensures that every event is catered to perfection. Since 2008, O&B has brought unrivaled cuisine, service, and style to a wide range of corporate and social gatherings hosted by the Board.

As Toronto's East waterfront community continues to flourish, with plans to house 30,000 residents and millions of square feet of commercial space, the area emerges as a hub for technology, arts, education, and business ecosystems. Organizations like MaRS, George Brown College, RBC, Corus, WPP, and the LCBO have all recognized the Waterfront's potential, and we are thrilled to be part of this vibrant community!

The first year at 100 Queens Quay E. has been a resounding success, and the future is brighter than ever. You can now book The Quay for your corporate events, conferences, galas, meetings, and private functions. We promise an unforgettable waterfront experience.
