Michelle Genttner, Co-Owner, Unboxed Market
As a social disruptor business, Unboxed Market works tirelessly every day to transform the grocery experience. Customers are encouraged to reuse packaging they already have, refilling it with only the amount of new product they require to reduce their individual waste output. Further, we work with our distributors and manufacturers to find ways that they can stop packaging waste from entering the system. As a one-stop grocery store, we offer a full range of household staples: from fresh produce, deli and butcher items, to dry goods, oils, cleaners, and more. When considering only fifteen of our products, we have prevented the need for more than 50,000 1-litre plastic bottles, including hair and laundry cleaners, and dish soap.
