TORONTO, March 16, 2023 – Members of the media and public are invited to attend a Toronto Mayoral Debate hosted by the Toronto Region Board of Trade and TVO on the evening of May 25th, 2023 at the Isabel Bader Theatre on the campus of the University of Toronto.
TVO Today Live’s Steve Paikin will moderate this debate, exploring issues central to the growth and competitiveness of the Toronto Region. It will be live on multiple platforms: The Agenda/TVO Today’s YouTube channel, and on TVO’s broadcast channel.
Debates are critical to the electoral process and both TVO Today Live and Toronto Region Board of Trade are excited to hear from the candidates who seek to represent Toronto as its next Mayor.
Candidates will be invited to participate and will be chosen based on polling data available when invitations are issued, at a time following the close of nominations and at least ten days prior to the debate.
Further logistical details including precise timing, agenda, and how to attend for members of the public will be announced in April.
